Golden State Wildlife Expeditions was created to showcase the wildlife and wild places that makes California so extraordinary. California is one of the most ecologically diverse places on the planet, home to many plant and animal species found nowhere else in the world. Its nickname, “The Golden State,” feels especially fitting— not only for its golden hills and poppies, but for the richness of its landscapes. From deserts and grasslands to the High Sierra and rugged coastline, California offers an incredible variety of habitats. This diversity creates endless opportunities to experience one of the most dynamic wildlife destinations on the continent.

 

Cade Castle is the founder and guide for Golden State Wildlife Expeditions. He was born and raised in the Golden State. It was here in California where Cade summers camping in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park of the Sierra Nevada Mountains that he developed a lifelong passion for its wildlife and wild places. This passion launched Cade into a guiding career that has allowed Cade to guide wildlife trips not only in California, but also, Wyoming, Montana, Alaska, and South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
